How the Scheme Works

There are three channels through which applicants can achieve accreditation status and they are:

The various specialisms for each category are listed on the individual pages for you to review before deciding to apply.

Before applying, you need to be sure you are clear where your specialism(s) lie and how you want the wider world to recognise you once accredited. Please do not try and apply for an activity in which you cannot provide objective evidence of your competency as it is likely to be rejected by the panel of experienced assessors.

Once you start the online application process, you will be asked to upload or drag and drop documentation at various points to prove your competency in a particular surveying activity. How you choose to prove your competency to persuade an assessor to accredit you is your call. You might offer evidence of your extensive experience in a particular area of surveying gained over many years, or upload specialist reports, or show evidence of training courses and certifications you have achieved. But the onus is on you.

If you choose to progress with your application, please be aware that we will not start to process it until payment is made in full. As part of the application process you will be asked to give your preferred method of payment and an invoice will be sent.

The scheme administrators will review all applications and may well ask for further information to put before an assessor to give you the best chance of achieving accreditation before we request payment.
