The Accredited Marine Surveying Practitioner scheme has three categories to choose from. The detail will be found when you choose which category is the best fit and match for your skill set.
Category 1
Yacht & Small Craft Marine Surveyors
This is quite simply the category for those who specialise in surveying vessels of all types under 24 metres in length, including sail boats, motor yachts, inland waterways craft, small workboats and so on.
Category 2
This category is aimed at those who regularly survey superyachts over 24 metres, which is a specialism all of its own!
Category 3
Cargo & Commercial Ship Surveyors
This is a large category, including many niche cargo specialisms available to apply for. But this category is also the one for surveyors who routinely carry out P&I Club surveys, Casualty Investigations, and Auditing apart from a wide range of other surveying activities.
